After recently being reelected as the president of The United States, Donald Trump attended the huge UFC 309 event at Madison Square Garden, getting a huge standing ovation.
With UFC 309 being one of the biggest UFC events of the year, A-list celebrities were expected to show out in numbers for the return of heavyweight champion Jon Jones, who takes on Stipe Miocic in the main event.
Despite the anticipation for the main event, the fight has been covered in controversy since its announcement because of the fact that Jones is taking on an inactive Miocic instead of interim champion, Tom Aspinall.
Donald Trump receives huge reception after walking out with Dana White at UFC 309
Having been a huge fan of the UFC since its inception, Donald Trump made sure to be in attendance for what is potentially Jones’ last fight in the Octagon, with it being the first PPV event since his recent election win.
This, of course, isn’t the first time the president-elect has attended a UFC event, having attended UFC 302 earlier this year to watch the lightweight title fight between Islam Makhachev and Dustin Poirier.
This time, though, the UFC played a promotion package on the jumbotron of Trump and his time as president as he watched on with the fans going raucous.
Every time Trump has walked out with the UFC CEO, Dana White, previously he has blown the roof off whichever arena he is in with the huge standing ovation he receives.
The UFC boss admitted that there are only two walkouts that ‘shake the arena’ comparing Trump’s walkout to that of the UFC’s biggest star, Conor McGregor.
“You know, it’s crazy when you think about it. When you think about fighter walkouts, whenever a fighter walks out to the cage, I mean, the two biggest that actually shake the arena are President Trump and Conor McGregor, two of the biggest fight walkouts ever,” White told TMZ Sports.

Ahead of his recent election, president-elect Trump claimed that he would either attend the blockbuster card as the new President or he’ll be ‘depressed and won’t bother going’.
Fortunately for the UFC, Trump won the election and stuck to his word, attending the event to support a prospect who he is keeping a keen eye on, Bo Nickal.
The undefeated middleweight prospect is scheduled for his toughest test thus far, taking on the gritty Scottsman, Paul Craig.
“You know Bo Nickal? How’s he going to do? I think he’s terrific, he was like, almost undefeated in college,” Trump recently discussed with Joe Rogan on his podcast.
“When is he fighting again? After the election? So, I’ll either go as president or I’ll be depressed, and I won’t bother going,” Trump continued.
