Scooting in a short-notice title fight at UFC 311 tomorrow, Renato Moicano has vowed to “shock the world” in his day notice clash with the undisputed lightweight champion, Islam Makhachev — with the Brazilian replacing an injured Arman Tsarukyan this weekend.
Renato Moicano, who was slated to make his return tomorrow in search of his fifth straight Octagon win, was pulled from a clash with the returning perennial contender, Beneil Dariush — amid a back injury suffered by Armenian star, Tsarukyan who suffered a back injury overnight whilst cutting weight.

And himself making 155lbs championship weight this morning, Brasilia native, Moicano will now make his premiere title fight appearance under the umbrella of the promotion — and insists he will defeat the pound-for-pound number one, Makhachev, and land the lightweight crown.

“‘Money’ Moicano is coming for the belt,” Renato Moicano said in a video posted on the official UFC account on X. “Be ready, Islan Makhachev. Tomorrow is money time. I’m so happy that I got this opportunity. I have been working for this for a long time, and I knew that could happen. That’s why I was training five rounds that I was training with a softball. I’m ready, and tomorrow, I’m going to shock the world. Be ready because I am. This is ‘Money’ Moicano, and tomorrow, I will be the champion of the world.”
In the midst of an impressive four-fight winning spree, Brazilian contender, Renato Moicano, who currently holds the number ten rank at the lightweight limit, most recently headlined UFC Paris back in September, forcing a second round doctor’s stoppage TKO win against French contender, Benoit Saint Denis.
In three consecutive victories prior to that, American Top Team star, Moicano stopped both Jalin Turner, and Brad Riddell, in between a unanimous decision win over veteran knockout star, Drew Dober.
