Islam Makhachev made weight for his latest title defense, but his opponent was nowhere to be seen.
The reigning lightweight champion—and No. 1 Pound-for-Pound fighter in the world—hit the mark for the UFC 311 main event, coming in at 154.5 pounds, but it was later announced that the challenger Arman Tsarukyan had been forced to withdraw from the bout due to an injury.
Stepping in to replace Tsarukyan is Renato Moicano, who was originally scheduled to fight Beneil Dariush earlier on the main card. Moicano and Dariush both hit championship weight at 155 pounds, with Moicano eventually getting the backup call. It is not known when Dariush will be booked for his next fight.

Outside of the shakeup at the top, all fighters competing Saturday successfully made weight, including bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili, who came in at 134 pounds. His challenger, the undefeated Umar Nurmagomedov, tipped the scales at 135 pounds.
