Reports - Paige VanZant's return date revealed by BKFC president

BKFC founder David Feldman revealed when fans can expect Paige VanZant to return to action.

The UFC star turned bare-knuckle fighter was scheduled to fight Charisa Sigala at Bare Knuckle FC 27 in August. However, ’12 Guage’ missed the event after she was told “logistical issues” led to her fight being canceled.

Feldman recently joined Curran Bhatia to talk about all things BKFC. Asked when VanZant could make her much-anticipated comeback, the BKFC president revealed that plans are in place to have her compete at Knuck Mania 3 early next year.

“She’ll fight February 27th for the Knuckle Mania 3 card… That one will take place in New Mexico. So that’s gonna be a great card.”

Feldman added that the event will be the promotion’s biggest so far and teased that at least three big names are expected to make appearances:

“We’ve got some sensational bouts on that card… It will be the biggest event by far. The most talked about one, I believe, too. We have some really, really big names that are gonna be on the top three fights of that card. I’m excited about that one. I’m excited about the whole entire year, but that’s when we’re probably seeing her back.”

Bare Knuckle FC 27 was supposed to mark Paige VanZant’s first outing of 2022. With that in mind, the 28-year-old revealed that she was frustrated with how her situation had unfolded.

Moments after the announcement, ‘PVZ’ issued a statement on Twitter, expressing her frustration with the situation. She wrote:

“THIS IS OUT OF MY CONTROL!!! I WENT AN ENTIRE CAMP AND WEIGHT CUT TO BE PULLED A WEEK OUT!!!! I DID NOT PULL FROM MY FIGHT!!!! I WAS PULLED! I AM PISSED OFF AND HEARTBROKEN! I WORKED MY F*CKING ASS OFF TO BE PULLED A WEEK BEFORE I AM SUPPOSED TO COMPETE!!!!!”

David Feldman confirmed it was the promotion’s call to pull VanZant vs. Sigala from the card. He added that the decision had nothing to do with either fighter involved.

The last time VanZant fought was in July 2021, when she dropped a unanimous decision to Rachael Ostovich in the main event of BKFC 19. VanZant currently sits winless (0-2) since crossing over from MMA to bare-knuckle boxing.
