Conor McGregor has guaranteed fans that he is healing well from his terrible leg injury. Brimming over with confidence while in recovery, the former two-division champion said his leg is “doing well,” and his main focus is on achieving total fitness.
Conor McGregor broke his leg during his trilogical fight with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. At the end of the first round, the Irishman was declared unfit for continuation, thus rewarding Poirier’s victory with a TKO with a doctor’s stop.
McGregor is currently recovering from injury in the United States. According to TMZ, he was spotted outside a Los Angeles restaurant yesterday, where he said his recovery was progressing as expected.
When the reporter asked who he would like to fight next, The Notorious stated that he intends to successfully recover first.
“We are recovering, we are recovering, so … That’s all we do, and it will be some recovery, it will be some recovery,” McGregor said.
Conor McGregor, who can walk fairly easily on crutches, also signed autographs to fans outside the restaurant.
McGregor is on a two-fight losing streak for the first time in his career. After his UFC 264 outing with Poirier, the 33-year-old said his rivalry with ‘The Diamond’ isn’t over, suggesting he would be open to fighting Poirier for the fourth time.
