Rising UFC bantamweight prospect Raul Rosas Jr. had to tune up a pesky YouTuber this week following a gym prank gone wrong.
Raul Rosas Jr., who just turned 20 this past October, is one of the most promising young talents in mixed martial arts (MMA) today. He has produced a 4-1 UFC record and is one of the most popular Mexican fighters on the roster. Rosas is also coming off a unanimous decision win over Aoriqileng at the infamous UFC 306 event from inside The Sphere this past September.
In other words, Rosas is someone you probably shouldn’t mess with.
Unfortunately for the fellas over at Top Notch Idiots, a YouTube channel dedicated to dangerous street pranks, Rosas was tested at his own gym earlier this week and was more than willing to step up to the plate.
While Top Notch Idiots are usually throwing up fake gang signs in the hood or asking people if they “want some,” the group of risky social media influencers entered Rosas’ gym and instantly began to cause a scene. The main prankster, Opto, kept approaching Rosas and staring at him to provoke a response. Rosas didn’t shy away at all and kept trying to get his hands on the prankster.
Once the gloves went on all bets were off. Rosas and Opto squared off in the cage and the UFC bantamweight went bonkers. He leveled the prankster with a brutal knockdown followed by heavy ground-and-pound. Rosas didn’t stop there as he eventually applied a rear-naked choke and wouldn’t let go even when Opto tapped.
Of course, Rosas was informed of the prank after the one-sided beatdown and was more than cool with it, but the young fighter wasn’t playing around when he thought it was a real situation.
