One of the UFC on ESPN 20 preliminary card matches ended at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, in which Khabib Nurmagomedov’s cousin Umar Nurmagomedov made his debut performance under the auspices of the UFC against a fighter from Kazakhstan Sergey Morozov.
Umar started the fight with kicks, while Morozov tried to reach the opponent’s chin with a powerful cross. Nurmagomedov worked on all floors, often just a few millimeters away from hitting a tight hike. A little later, Umar made his first attempt at a takedown, but his opponent managed to get to his feet rather quickly, after which he began to put more pressure on the Russian, who, even under pressure, skillfully disassembled his opponent with kicks from a distance.
Already at the beginning of the second round, Umar was able to deliver a dense headkick that shook Morozov. Nurmagomedov tried to finish off a fighter from Kazakhstan, but Morozov managed to recover, blocking most of the attacks. Then Nurmagomedov began to rely more and more on takedowns, one of which led to the fact that Umar, taking the back of a tired opponent, was able to carry out a choke. Morozov tried to fight, but soon lost consciousness.
