The current UFC lightweight champion, Valentina Shevchenko, promised to show a dominant performance against Jessica Andrade, and kept her word, not giving a single chance to the formidable Brazilian in the title fight held at UFC 261 in Jacksonville, Florida.
Already in the first round, “Bullet” demonstrated that she is superior to her opponent in all aspects of the fight, including in wrestling technique, having conducted five successful takedowns. After an unsuccessful attempt to strangle from behind in the second five minutes, two minutes before the end of the round, Shevchenko went to the crucifixion, and began to drive Andrade’s head into the canvas with powerful elbows, forcing referee Dan Miragliotta to stop the fight and record the victory of the current champion by technical knockout.
