In Las Vegas, one of the fights of the main card of UFC 264 took place, in which the representative of the women’s lightest weight, Russian Yana Kunitskaya (14-5 MMA, 4-2 UFC) entered the octagon to fight with a native of Mexico Irene Aldana (12-6 MMA, 5-4 UFC).
Kunitskaya started the fight aggressively, throwing out a lot of kicks. Later, the Russian woman tried to clinch her opponent at the net, but Aldana easily freed herself, after which she connected her box. In one of the episodes, she managed to break the Russian woman’s nose, and then send her to a knockdown with a powerful left hook.
Initially, Aldana was in no hurry to go to the stalls for a shocked opponent, punching pinpoint strikes while standing on her feet. But then she sank into the guard to Kunitskaya, from where she began to deliver heavy blows that forced the Russian to helplessly turn her face away from her opponent and cover herself with her hands, thereby forcing the referee to stop the fight.
Result: Irene Aldana defeated Yana Kunitskaya by technical knockout in the 1st round at UFC 264
