UFC President Dana White said that he will once again meet with the organization’s lightweight champion, Russian Khabib Nurmagomedov, and will make another attempt to persuade him not to end his career.
“We’re going to have dinner on Saturday or Sunday and just talk. There are many interesting fights in his weight category, in which guys from the first to ninth places in the rating will fight. You can think about it what you want, but these are really great fights.
In these confrontations, we will see who is worthy to fight for the title. I think if Khabib is interested in the winner of this “marathon”, he will accept the fight. We don’t hear Nurmagomedov saying: “Leave me alone. Stop asking me. ” So there is still a chance. This is how I look at the situation, ”said Dana White.
Recall that Khabib Nurmagomedov fought his last fight on October 24, defeating American Justin Gaethje ahead of schedule. After the fight, the Russian announced his retirement.
