Former UFC two-weight champion Daniel Cormier believes Francis Ngannou is quite capable of becoming the next big heavyweight superstar of the promotion, like Brock Lesnar, who came to MMA from wrestling.
“Brock Lesnar was the last [heavyweight champion] to truly grab the attention of the entire sports world, a guy whose fight everyone wanted to see. Given Francis’s style, if he succeeds in becoming a champion, absolutely everyone will follow him. because it’s so huge.
I’m sure Francis Ngannou is on the cusp of global success and fame, and how intriguing it is. Can you imagine what a star this guy would be if he wins Stipe and then fights and beats Jon Jones? ”Daniel Cormier said in an interview to Ariel Helwani.
