Daniel Cormier gave advice to Poirier ahead of his rematch with McGregor.

Former UFC two-weight champion Daniel Cormier has had multiple rematch throughout his career and knows how to tune in to a fight with an opponent when you’ve already lost to him. According to the American veteran in fights, in order to expect to win a rematch with Conor McGregor, top UFC lightweight Dustin Poirier should be considered an accident of early defeat, which he suffered in their first fight.

“I think when you lose a fight and go out for another fight. I know all about that. I fought twice Anthony Johnson and Jon Jones, I also staged a trilogy with Stipe Miocic. I had 7 of my 25 fights against three dudes.

Therefore, I think that any fighter needs to convince himself that he was just caught. For Dustin to give himself a chance, he must rely on it. It’s hard to forget about it, but you want to remember it and use it as a motivation in a rematch “, – said Daniel Cormier in an interview with SCMP MMA.
