Former UFC heavyweight champion Brazilian Fabricio Werdum said he is considering retiring after winning the PFL Grand Prix.
“It’s amazing to know that fans will be able to watch me perform again. I was thrilled when I learned that my career was important to my fans. It just motivates me to work even harder to end my career as the PFL Heavyweight Champion.
I’ve always wanted to have more fights a year. The PFL gives me the opportunity to play four fights in six months. After the start of the season, I will fight every six weeks from May to October. I have many achievements, but it would be great to end my career as the PFL Heavyweight Champion, ”said Fabricio Werdum.
Note that Fabricio Werdum will play his debut match in the PFL on May 6 against his compatriot Renan Ferreira. Werdum assessed his future opponent.
“Renan is a pretty good fighter. Cleverly uses the jab to keep his distance. He also has good counterattacks and his wrestling qualities are at a decent level. So the fans can expect a rather tense debut fight, ”added Fabricio Werdum.
