Israel Adesanya confidently defeated Marvin Vettori, defending the UFC title for the third time

At the Gila River Arena in Glendale (Arizona, USA), the main event of the UFC 263 tournament took place, in which the current champion of the middle division, Israel Adesanya (20-1 MMA, 9-1 UFC), had a rematch with the fighter from Italy, Marvin Vettori (17-3-1 MMA, 7-2-1 UFC), going on a series of five wins.

The champion started the fight with low-kicks on the front leg. Vettori managed to make a quick takedown, but he could not keep Adesanya on the ground. The New Zealander, as always, moved easily through the octagon, deftly feinting and hitting unpredictable combinations, while Marvin only walked in a straight line with a jab, followed by a cross.

In the third round, Vettori again pulled Adesanya to the ground, then took his back and began to strangle, but the champion was able to wriggle out, ending up in the guard, from where he again rose to a stand. The Italian sometimes delivered rare punches, but in most cases Adesanya easily dismantled the clumsy Marvin, demonstrating excellent kickboxing and reaction. Vettori spent most of the fight in the legs, but his attempts at translation were so lazy and clumsy that Adesanya had no trouble preventing them, while simultaneously making an appearance in public.

Result: Israel Adesanya defeated Marvin Vettori via unanimous decision (50-45, 50-45, 50-45)
