UFC commentator Joe Rogan praised the hitting technique of popular American blogger Jake Paul ahead of his upcoming boxing match with Bellator and ONE Championship champion Ben Askren.
On April 17, Paul will fight Askren in an 8-round fight according to the rules of boxing. This fight will be the third for Jake in the professional ring – last year, youtuber prematurely stopped another blogger, nicknamed AnEsonGib, and ex-NBA player Nate Robinson. Whereas Askren will go to his debut boxing match.
“You can watch him [Paul] hit the boxing bag, boxing paws or sparring, and you will see that the guy has great timing, decent punching speed and great technique. He has really amazing punching technique.” Rogan said on the air of his podcast show The Joe Rogan Experience.
“Askren is so staunch. He knows how to grab his opponent and pull him to the ground, where he already works in his usual style. But here he cannot do it. He will not be allowed to use his main weapon. Not at all.”
