The former contender for the UFC welterweight title, Jorge Masvidal, intends to return to the octagon in October or November. Among the rivals, the fighter is considering the candidacies of his compatriots Nick Diaz and Colby Covington. “Spoke to Jorge Masvidal’s manager, Abraham Kawa, about what’s next for Masvidal. He said Masvidal is targeting a return in October/November against either Nick Diaz or Colby Covington.” Helvani wrote on Twitter.
Recall that Jorge Masvidal held two extreme fights against the UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman and was defeated in both. The first fight took place in July 2020 at the UFC 251 tournament and Kamaru won by unanimous decision. The opponents held a rematch on April 24 this year in the main event of the UFC 261 tournament, this time Usman knocked out his opponent in the second round.
