Manchester United star Rasmus Hojlund fires ruthless Kyle Walker dig after Manchester City 'embarrassment'

Rasmus Hojlund fired a brutal message to Manchester City defender Kyle Walker following their altercation during Man United’s dramatic win.

Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund has aimed a tongue-in-cheek quip at rivals Manchester City and Kyle Walker following their dramatic 2-1 win at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

The Dane led the line for Ruben Amorim’s side as Amad inspired a comeback including a stoppage time winner after winning the penalty for Bruno Fernandes to convert minutes earlier.

There was a flashpoint in the first-half involving Hojlund and the City defender which led to the pair going head-to-head before the England international fell to ground holding his face. Both players were booked for their part in the altercation but the antics from Walker sparked anger from former

In a post on Instagram, Hojlund said: “Manchester is red, Violets are blue, What a brilliant performance, But the Oscar goes to…” in reference to the dramatic action from Walker – suggesting the acting should be award-winning.

“I would have given a red card to Walker. Of course it is a foul and it is free kick and Hojlund is not happy and that is fine,” said Keane. “Walker must be embarrassed to go down like that. An experienced player, look at this. I don’t know the guy and I am embarrassed for him.”

During the commentary of the incident, Gary Neville added: “It’s poor from Kyle Walker. He goes down when he realises there might have been contact. I think he will be a little bit embarrassed when he sees that back.”

The gritty comeback from United took them to within six points of the Champions League places ahead of a gruelling festive period.
