UFC President Dana White commented on the debut performance of the former contender for the organization’s middleweight title, Cuban Yoel Romero, as part of Bellator.
According to White, he did not see Romero’s fight against American Phil Davis, but some people told him how everything happened.
“I didn’t see it. I didn’t see the fight, but some people told me that Romero fought as if it was a five-round fight, not three. This is all characteristic of Romero.
It was great to work with him. We spent a lot of time together. It was amazing. He’s a good guy and I like him. I can’t say anything bad about Yoel. Good luck to him in his career and performances in Bellator, ” said Dana White.
Recall that Romero and Davis fought on September 18 at the SAP Center arena in San Jose, California, USA, in the main event of Bellator 266. Phil won by a split decision of the judges. This was the debut match for Yoel, both as part of Bellator and as part of the light heavyweight division.
