American mixed martial arts fighter Stephen Thompson believes that he should be the next rival of the UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman. According to Stephen, he is the only fighter in the top five rankings in this weight category who has not yet met Kamaru.

As a reminder, Usman defended his title once again in the main event of UFC 258 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The victim of Kamaru was the Brazilian Gilbert Burns, whom the Nigerian defeated by TKO in the third round.
