Petr Yan‘s manager, Sayat Abdrakhmanov, commented on the information that his fighter’s title rematch against Aljamain Sterling may take place as part of the October UFC number event.
“On October 30, the UFC tournament will be held in Abu Dhabi,” the press service of the Archangel Michael club quotes the manager. “We have long told the UFC that we are ready for this date, and the organization is ready to make this fight. Everything now depends on Sterling. He says that doctors still do not allow him to complete training. Therefore, we cannot yet complete the negotiations and come to some specifics. When the doctors give him the green light for full-fledged training, then it will be possible to complete the negotiations. This date suits both us and the UFC. So the decision is up to Sterling”
Recall that on October 30, UFC 267 will take place in Abu Dhabi, the main event of which will be a light heavyweight title fight between Jan Blachowicz and Glover Teixeira.
