The reigning UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has shared his predictions for the upcoming rematch between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier, which will take place in the main event of UFC 257.
Recall that the first duel between McGregor and Poirier took place in September 2014 and ended with the victory of the Irish fighter by TKO in the first round, which only strengthened Conor’s status as the future superstar of the promotion.
“At the beginning of the fight, it’s Conor, but in the third and fourth rounds, I think Dustin can beat this guy,” Nurmagomedov said.
Note that the Dagestani defeated both fighters. In October 2018, Khabib defeated McGregor, stopping the Irishman with a painful hold in the fourth round. And a year later, Poirier was defeated by him, who knocked as a sign of surrender in the third five-minute period.
