Lakers star striker LeBron James is close to making a comeback.
According to insider Shams Charania, James is set to play against New York on Tuesday.
If James doesn’t play on Tuesday, the chances are high that he will be in the squad on Wednesday, when the Lakers face off against Houston.
Recall that 36-year-old James previously missed more than six weeks due to a sprained ankle ligament.
Last week, LeBron returned to service, but on May 2 he could not finish the meeting with Toronto (114: 121). The 4-time MVP left the court 6 minutes and 40 seconds before the end of the match due to problems with the same right ankle.
Lakers star LeBron James is targeting Tuesday vs. New York for return to the lineup from sore right ankle, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. If not Tuesday, Wednesday vs. Houston is possible.
