The UFC Vegas 29 poster is out ahead of a pivotal featherweight main event.
The promotion’s second fight night card for the month of June will feature a 145-pound headliner between “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung and Dan Ige. The event takes place June 19 at the UFC APEX and will stream on ESPN+.
Jung will be looking to bounce back after a unanimous decision loss to Brian Ortega in the main event of UFC Fight Island 6 in October. Prior to that bout, Jung had picked up back-to-back first round stoppage victories over Renato Moicano and Frankie Edgar.
Ige gets the fight he asked for in his second promotional main event. “50K” had won six straight prior to the loss to Calvin Kattar in the main event of UFC on ESPN 13 this past July, but quickly got back in the win column with a first-round KO of Gavin Tucker in just 22 seconds at UFC Vegas 21 in March before subsequently calling Jung out in his post-fight interview.
UFC Vegas 29 will also include a welterweight bout between Matt Brown and Dhiego Lima, a heavyweight matchup between Aleksei Oleinik and Sergey Spivak, as well as a bantamweight rematch between Marlon Vera and Davey Grant.
