Neymar will extend his contract with PSG until 2026 today — L'Équipe

The authoritative French publication L’Équipe reports that the long-running story with the extension of the contract between Paris Saint-Germain and striker Neymar should soon come to an end.

Recall that after the departure of the reigning champion of France from the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League as a result of the defeat to English Manchester City (1:4, on aggregate), PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi made an appeal to Barcelona, in which he called on the Spanish grandee to stop disturbing his ward with transfer offers.

For example, “blaugranas” already managed to estimate the Brazilian at 100 million euros, however, apparently, already at that moment the head of the French side was aware of the success of the negotiation process on the extension of the contract with the player.

As a result, on Saturday, May 8, according to the source, representatives of PSG and Neymar must sign a new agreement for the striker, which will be calculated until 2026.

In the current season, the 29-year-old forward has played 27 matches, in which he scored 15 goals and 10 assists.
