As part of the selection for the 2022 World Cup, the North Macedonian national team sensationally outplayed the German national team (1: 2).
Goran Pandev opened the score at 45 + 2 minutes. Germany leveled the score in the 63rd minute thanks to Gundogan, who implemented the 11-meter kick, but in the last minutes Elmas scored the second goal and put an end to the match.
